Recipe for Success

Adult Curriculum

Recipe for Success implements adult curriculums focused on healthy diets and physical activity with a wide and diverse audience. Topics discussed by our Nutrition Educators include: the relationship between food and emotions, benefits of anti-oxidants, Dinner-On-A-Dime Recipes, Smart Shopping, low- fat soul food, alternative grains, and many others.

Recipe for Success teaches small, hands-on classes that are designed to meet the needs of each participant and specific group.  Our lesson plans are inspired by the participants needs and goals so that SNAP-Ed can be sure to address the health and exercise issues that are important and valuable in the participants’ lives. We often supplement our lessons with hands-on pertinent health documents and items, including recipe books, as well as distribute items such as aprons and pedometers in order to facilitate positive nutrition habits.

Recipe for Success partners with several area community and public groups, such as the Guilford Mental Health Association, Servant Center, Shepherd House, Reading Connections, and One Step Further.
