Congratulations on your award from NCDHHS Department of Health and Human Services for your project “Recipe For Success.”
Recipe for Success (RFS) provides direct nutrition, social marketing, and policy, systems, and environmental change programs (PSE) to SNAP eligible and/or receiving individuals and households in Guilford, Rockingham, Randolph, Davidson, Stokes and Forsyth counties in NC. RFS will address the state-level objectives of maintaining a physically active lifestyle and making healthier eating patterns and food choices, including increasing consumption of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, fat-free and low-fat dairy, and healthy snacks, to reduce the causes of obesity. Furthermore, RFS will address additional objectives outlined by the organization such as increasing knowledge in meal planning, shopping, cooking and gardening to sustain a healthy lifestyle – proficiencies designed to help fortify the state level objectives. RFS specifically targets SNAP-eligible and/or receiving adults over the age of 18, children under age 18, and households with children.
